Greetings, and welcome to my Lord of the Rings fanfiction! Most of the stories here will be based on the books, though I certainly make use of the movie's visuals. ;) In the meantime, enjoy!
(FYI: Tindome means 'starry twilight.' The banner above reads, "Love through the Ages.")
A Day by the River
Rating: PG-13
Summary: A brief respite along the Anduin.
Category: PWP, UST
Pairing: Elrond/Isildur
Notes: A little something I used to kick-start the stalled Muse.
Part of the much larger Shieldmates. (Which will be finished
any damn day now... *sigh* Damn sub-plot bunnies.) *Fixed some
teensy errors.
Shieldmates
Rating: NC-17
Summary: Men, the Elves who love them, the wars that divide them,
and what those Elven braids really mean.
Category: AU, Interspecies, Fetish/Kink, Graphic Sex.
Warning: spoilers
Pairing: Elrond/Isildur, implied Gil-Galad/Elendil.
Notes: Due to length, this is being posted chapter by chapter.
(I forsee this moving to its own page. Oy.) Translations, etc.
are in the story notes.
A Day by the River takes place roughly between the The Gathering and Dagorlad. Pure vanity: the acknowledgements.

Stories longer or shorter than the pic-provs, one-shots that are part of no other series.
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Finrod bears a message to his brother Aegnor.
Category: Angst, POV, Silmarillion-based. Not slash.
Pairing: Aegnor/Andreth, Finrod's POV.
Notes: This one literally jumped out at me, after reading "Athrabeth
Finrod Ah Andreth" in Morgoth's Ring.
Rating: PG
Summary: How Galadriel and Celeborn came to be Lady and Lord of
Lothlorien.
Category: Gen
Characters: Galadriel, Amroth, Cirdan
Notes: A bit of a stylistic experiment. Probably brought on by
reading Pamela again.
In another fandom, these would be called "pic-provs." Each story is inspired by a picture. Each one is exactly one thousand words...the picture's worth. ;)
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Celeborn struggles with his estrangement from Galadriel.
Category: Angst.
Pairing: Celeborn/Galadriel
Notes: Movie-based. :) "To bear a Ring of Power is to be
alone."
Addendum to notes: It was supposed to be movie-based. Book-stuff
crept in. Muses. *sigh*
Rating: PG
Summary: Legolas' first meeting with a Hobbit is a life-changer.
Category: Gen
Pairing: Legolas/Frodo
Notes: Movie-based. This was supposed to be a Legolas/Gimli
piece. Imagine my surprise when the Hobbit stepped in. As ever,
I am at the mercy of my Muses.
Rating: PG-13
Summary: What's going through Legolas' mind during that staring
contest at the Council?
Category: pic-prov, pre-slash
Pairing: Legolas/Gimli
Notes: This was also supposed to be movie-based. Then stuff from
The Hobbit, and Fellowship of the Ring crept in.
The Muses do this just to drive me crazy, I know it.
Rating: PG-13
Summary: It is the last battle, and Gil-Galad confronts Sauron
on the battlfield.
Warning: Some gruesome imagery. Spoilers.
Category: Angst, drama, pic-prov
Paring: Elendil/Gil-Galad
Notes: special thanks to TFoEG, for the scan. I hope this appeases
the Gil-Galad!Muse. (Yeah, like that'll happen.)
QYNAA: Questions You Never Actually Asked. (Or, "Jac Reads One 'Tolkien Slash is EEEEEEEEEEEvilllllllll!!!!' Screed Too Many and Snaps.")
The Case for Twinship. While writing/researching Shieldmates, I had a vague memory of having read that Elrond and Elros were twins--but couldn't prove it. I have since learned that it's spelled out in HoME 5: The Lost Road. This is my (now redundant, but damn it, I worked hard on it!) argument for Earendil's sons being twins.

You prefer the tranquilty and peacefulness of nature and enjoy the milder seasons of the year. While you know it is necessary to keep in contact with other living beings, most of the time you enjoy the seclusion of an aesthetically pleasing, woodland environment.
